Support and Information

Health Information

Visit our drop –in for a confidential chat about your individual health issues. We have a range of books and leaflets on most health topics. We can register you for our services or advise you on more specialist services both National and local.

Mental Health Development Worker

Health All Round stocks all the self–help books recommended by Psychologists for the ‘Matched Care’ programme so if you have been prescribed ‘bibliotherapy’ by your GP for anxiety or depression etc you can access the materials through us. Our mental health development worker can offer support while you work through the different materials and information on other services.

Our mental health development worker can also offer on-going support to people who wish to engage in any of our activities or have other plans for positive life style change but are finding it difficult because of mental health issues. We are happy to involve support workers or informal carers as requested.

Physical Fitness

Need to lose weight? Lacking energy? Feeling low? Our new Physical Activities Coordinator can help you to plan your own individual health and fitness programme. Contact Alan to book an appointment.

Counselling

This is an opportunity to talk about problems and issues that are troubling you. Your counsellor can help you identify issues and find the best ways to tackle them. The aim is not to tell you what to do, or to offer a personal opinion, but to help you arrive at your own solutions and support you through this process. Up to 9 sessions are offered and the service is free.

Art Therapy

Like counselling Art Therapy is a one to one approach which can help you to address issues and problems but this is done through the process of making art. The therapist will help you focus on issues and discuss these in relation to the images and objects you create. You do not have to be skilled in art to benefit from this approach, but your creativity can help facilitate communication and creativity has been linked to improvements in mood and self esteem.

Life Coaching

Coaching takes a step by step approach to setting and reaching life goals. These ‘goals’ can range from personal goals – like confidence building or raising self awareness – to career goals such as designing a career plan or improving performance in your current job. Goals can also be around health and fitness, creativity, relationships, stress management – absolutely anything you’d like to develop/change in your life.

The coach will assist the learner in setting 3 goals that are...

Challenging... Measurable... Inspiring...

You’ll be surprised at the impact just changing 3 elements in your life can have!

Employment Support Service

In September 2009 Health All Round will be introducing a new service aiming specifically to support people facing unemployment, or who have employment issues (eg. unhappiness with their job, workplace stress, bullying at work). This service will include activities such as : Life coaching; Hypnotherapy and Neuro Linguistic Programming; Interview skills training; coping with long term unemployment; managing on benefits.
